Another song that might be categorized as a guilty pleasure but... not guilty your honor. I've always loved this song. I had so much fun trying to recreate it.

Lonely People (cover)

I've always loved the sound of the ukelele. Finally got my own and I couldn't wait to write a song with it. I'm carrying on a bit of a tradition here as my grandfather played the banjolele. Not the same exactly but a very similar sound. I can see why he loved it.

Girls Like You

This track got further than most tracks in competition. It made it to the finals of the Song of the Year contest.

IF I

This has a bit of a mersey beat feel with a few beatley background vocals thrown in for good measure. Loosely based on my own grandmother "Lil Hersey" (see above)

To Love Lillian

I wanted something fun and upbeat that sounds great played LOUD. Enjoy.

Just Say Yeah

A dip into new territory. I've always been a huge fan of Marvin Gaye and this one in a small way is a nod to the great sounds of Mercy Mercy Me. Also Bon Iver's and Phillip Bailey's falsettos were an inspiration.

A blend of Nirvana-ish chord progressions with a dash of playful Beatle-ish harmonies to convey more COVID related anger

SUPER NOTHING

A closer relative to the George Harrison/Paul Simon unplugged version on SNL all those years ago (no pun intended)than it is the Abbey Road version. One of my all time fave Beatle tracks.

Here Comes The Sun (Cover)

Another minimalist cover. Hard to describe how huge T Rex were when they hit in the early seventies. People were desperate for a replacement for The Beatles. His star shone briefly but brightly (actually more like a super nova). He and Bowie ushered in a new era of lyricism along with those glorious glam guitars. This is one of his lesser known (at least in America which only really knows him from Bang A Gong and maybe 20th Century Boy). I urge you to do some digging into his catalog.
