Angel of the Morning

A song of generations.

My grandad passed away in 1982, 1 year before I was born. He served in The Durham Light Infantry, before, during and after the second World War.
My dad was born in 1953, a child of the revolution and a hippy to this very day.

My grandad's hobbies were Gambling,Drinking and army life. Everying and maybe everyone else was secondary.

The difference between a kid growing up in the 50s/60s, and a dad returning from war at the same time,  is pretty obvious. One that is maybe incomprehensible. 

Anyway, this song is basically my interpretation of their relationship.

A kid watching a world where "All You Need Is Love"
And a dad living a world where " All You Need Is War"

 And maybe something to bet on

I'll drink to that.
