This particular track was actually made for a school assignment. Way more clean vocals than I'm comfortable with, but hey. At least they sound better than "Insomniac Cycles".
The intro stanza is taken from an old French Canadian folk tale called "Le Debiteur Fidele". It was written in the mid-1800s by Louis Auguste Olivier.

Another collaboration, this time with the exquisitely talented symphonic artist Absilentia. This one was an immense challenge but I feel like the end result speaks for itself. Grand, epic, bombastic metal with a bit of a Tristania meets Primordial feel.

Fuck everyone who opposes tighter gun control in the US.

I am not against guns in and of themselves. They're just like heavy metal. They're loud, awesome, and a lot of fun. But something needs to be done about the thousands of annual firearms deaths in the US. The number of domestic firearms deaths in the US is larger than America's total number of wartime casualties SINCE THE WAR OF INDEPENDENCE.

Limiting mag size, restricting access to pistols and fully automatics, banning or at least restricting access to certain kinds of ammunition... these are all good ideas, and have resulted in Canada's number of gun deaths per capita being radically lower than the states'. That and the fact that we Canadians actually NEED guns to fend off wolves and bears. How many fucking grizzlies can there really be in metropolitan Detroit?

Sorry to those of you who left comments last night. Upon reflection, I felt that this song was put up prematurely. I worked it a little more today, added some different vocals and effects, as well as more samples to make the extended breaks more interesting. I'm much happier with it now.
