‘I was instantly drawn to the rhythmic vocal stems and used these as the foundation of rebuilding the track without ego or self-censorship. I felt a 4/4 would give the original a different angle, incorporating my own playful melodic ideas innocently alongside the vocal. Importantly, I set out to have fun creating this remix, allowing the ideas to flow in order to naturally re-imagine Icarus’s original.’

Strang began collaborating with several other Orlando based musicians to further develop the dreamy aesthetic of his initial solo material. After the release of several EPs, the now full-fledged band, who has toured with Gauntlet Hair, Mister Heavenly, Hundred Waters, and Levek, amongst others, has released their debut album entitled, Occasion.
