For me, this is your best piece.  I love the overall emotion in this work.  The passage from 0.23 to 0.42 is just so good!  This is an excellent piano piece!

New voice, introspective lyrics....musical style that has definitely turned towards rock-metal. It is still always listenable with catchy melodic lines.

Red Flames

We have condensed the oldest and longest (at 13,000+ words) poetic drama ever composed, entitled the Epic of Gilgamesh. 

The Epic is about the first and original hero ...of those “with a thousand faces”, the term coined by the mythologist Joseph Campbell, to indicate that there were more mythological heroes who underwent similarly challenging rite-of-passage quests after Gilgamesh. There were heroes like Hercules, Jason, Theseus and Odysseus, Buddha, Pinocchio in fact, and even Bob Dylan sung of his own hero's journey in his song Isis on the album Desire. King Arthur and Merlin also undertook a heroic quest in the Celtic myths, a sea voyage around the pole stars. 

But Gilgamesh is the prototype, and his epic journey requires him to “tread the rim of the wheel”. In my book, Stories in the Stars, I re-interpret the translations of the cuneiform on the Babylonian tablets to show that this "wheel's rim" symbolises the ring of the zodiac constellations in the stars, and so that’s also reflected in our track.
 
I’m very grateful to @APi_ZZ for providing such a captivating and inspiring soundscape to accompany Gilgamesh's stellar journey.

**The Sun Paints Red** by Laxá & Heima Kvartett is a sweeping post-rock journey that captures the stark beauty of the Icelandic landscape. Jussi Siglarson's guitar lines shimmer like distant northern lights, weaving through a dense soundscape where Bjarne Guðjohnsen's bass pulses like an underground river and Matthias Helguson's drums crash like waves on a stormy shore.

The strings, led by Lisbeth Heima and her ensemble—Sif Árnadóttir, Natasha Guðmundsdóttir, and Ída Sigurðardóttir—move between fragile whispers and powerful, cinematic peaks. Mike Taylor's keyboards add depth, filling the space between with layers that feel both expansive and grounded. The track is a journey through light and shadow, where each instrument paints a vivid scene in deep reds and golds, reflecting the raw, untamed spirit of Iceland.

All these compositions are made in my free time, mainly inspired by my favorite books, films and TV shows (My inspiration also comes from my favorite composers). I prefer to compose solo piano tracks, but cinematic orchestra is my second favorite genre of music and I have practiced a lot in that genre.
