Self-produced and talented multi-instrumentalist Nick Blonde is the most DIY artist you will find, producing everything from his bedroom studio. Progressing the genre-less sounds of the growing alternative scene; Nick takes influence from artists like Dominic Fike, Omar Apollo, Frank Ocean, and Billie Eilish. Nick's previous song “Bad”  was highly acclaimed for being an experimental bedroom pop song, being anything but ordinary while telling a captivating story. Nick has earned a following from creating engaging videos on YouTube & Tiktok. His next release, “Missing," is more ammunition to launch Nick Blonde further into the alternative scene.

Here's a demo from a lost project I made last summer about having these ghost-like feelings still lingering from someone I was attached to years ago. 

The phrase "phantom glue" refers to the feelings from a relationship still haunting me.

I had my brother (Brandon) record the drums in our garage in the middle of a 100 degree summer day. He also joined in on the chorus as a bass harmony.

This song took two long full days to make, and I've been listening to this demo since. 

When I cleared my flash drive, I lost the project...The only thing left of the song was this demo. I mastered the track and brought it to its full glory for being a demo.

This song is introducing my other genre in music, my other channel to express these feelings. I had a lot of fun making it. Although some of it may be deep and sentimental, The track is energetic and playful.

Made in Early 2020 before everything went to shit and I was experimenting with new music. I have too many songs sitting on my hard drive. 

This is one of my many songs that never got to be played outside of my bedroom. Wear some headphones and enjoy :)

Project 18 (demo)

COWBOY

Another track from summer 2020. I had learned about how Michael Jackson recorded 16 perfected overdubs for one vocal part (NO TUNING- just robust recording until he got it right). 

I applied the same concept recording near 70 takes for each vocal overdub. This made a cool vocal effect that feels wet and huge.

The simplicity of lyrics guides the listener to focus more on the feeling of the instrumental hook, being encapsulated by the big lead synth and demanding drums. 

This song was meant to be the intro to an EP of a love story I was creating. This is about the "honeymoon" phase of a new relationship followed by the feelings of excitement and "what ifs". The doorway to the unknown, but hopeful ignorance and enjoyment to be with someone who makes you feel this type of way.

When I was 15 I drew a stupid star in class, and I told myself that in the future I would use it for something cool.

When I was 19 I made a song called "Star" freshly inspired by Billie Eilish's 2019 Album, along with Lupe Fiasco's Superstar, and Far East Movement

"Star" as one of my favorite creations for a long time. 

Funny story, I never send anyone my music; however, when I made this song in 2019 I decided to share it with a girl I was a stranger to-- I liked her. Fast-forward to 2021 and we're approaching our 2-year anniversary.
