This song is about reaching your last straw with someone who has shown you time and time again they will not change :D (and the death of this connection as you once knew it). 

In this instance, I was particularly fed up because it was the type of relationship I had been led to believe doesn't have the capacity to be bad enough to warrant an ending. That left something to be mourned.

No one is entitled to have access to you if they mishandle the privilege, or show you they cannot handle the responsibility. Even when society tells us that they should. Harm is harm.

Hugs to all the people who have had to resort to no contact/ restricting access to yourself for their wellbeing.
