"I've recently had the pleasure of playing quite a few nice gigs and also have a few lined up so the mix was basically a product of me going through the selections of the recent / soon to come shows and playing the "other" tracks from these records. Other meaning, well, there is always that one track that comes to your mind when you see the record, the track you pack the record for, that track you always play. you know? So in this mix i played the other tracks from these records. Plus a few new ones thrown in as well that fitted the flow. Plus an edit given to me from my buddy Florist, plus one of my edits. All over the vibe i would say is between Bleep and Ambient Techno/House with a few trancy overtones, but quite driving and dancable."

CHILDHOOD MIXTAPEZ VOL. 24 - Estimulo's Chillaz Dee - Lite

In this episode I was able to welcome the guys behind a wicked little deep house label called Ordinaire Records, based out of Strasbourg in France. Rony, Alex and Thomas have been putting on parties in their area and have their third vinyl release baking in the oven right now. I’ve played both their previous releases on my past shows so it’s been a pleasure to have them on to lay down 90 mins of their signature sound. Listening back to their mix brought out a lot of nostalgia for me as they touch on some of the sounds I was really into (and still am!) during my formative years in the early 2000s, with records from Inland Knights, JT Donaldson, EBE and more. Timo and I met first online in the times of the early ADSL era in the beginning 00s. Back then he was already running (and still is!) the influential deep house mix page DeepRhythms.com that nobody only remotely interested in electronic music wouldnt be aware of in these days (Note: there were maybe a handful such pages online, Discogs was in version 0.1 and social media madness wasnt even on the horizon, so i guess without exaggeration you can call his work pioneering). 
Fast forward to 2023: These days he's still doing this thing plus he's got one and a half top-notch labels under his belt (running Echocentric Records and co-running Coymix) and is still a kick-ass DJ too. 
I'm especially happy to present a brand new mix by Timo on the EstimuloShow guest mix series,  here he is oscillating between old and recent tracks on the techier edge of house music, creating a flow with a pure party vibe.

After a brief hiatus we are back with CKFM edition 101 & it is worth the wait. 

A definite kindred spirit to us here at Craigie Knowes, he's been doing it better & longer than most. We met in person for the first time earlier on in the year, ate a large amount of Italian food & chatted about music for a few hours before going to support our friends who were playing at Subculture. An unplanned but very much welcomed first meeting.

Raised on a diet of Soul, Jazz, Hip Hop, Punk and Reggae, turntables were a natural progression for this Bristol born, Welsh rooted DJ and Producer Owain K (Owain Kimber). After discovering the sounds of bootleg mixtapes and Techno as a youngster in the 90s, he's never been one for sitting still. 

Owain has kindly provided the tracklist for those of you so inclined, we're guessing most of you will be with the quality of the mix.
