“Costco Magazine” is an ode to all those who lack grand ambitions. I wrote it after being laid off the first few weeks of the pandemic. The song explores emotions around the acceptance of being passed by in life and in love, and the things we do to cope after rejection.

“Make It Right” is the third and final single off of the “Gettin’ Better EP”, which was released on all major streaming platforms and as a music video on YouTube on September 2, 2022. The song explores the determination of wanting to fix past mistakes and to grow as a person and a partner, while processing and coping with difficult feelings of rejection.

It was written for everyone working hard to be a good partner, and trying their best to help their partners feel safe to ask for what they want. “Undone” is the new single from Nick Faye being released on January 31, 2025. The new single is inspired by personal experiences of dating in the 2020’s in your early thirties. Specifically, about Faye’s feelings and reflections during a two month period where he was cancelled on or ghosted for 6 of 7 consecutive dates. The music was performed by Nick Faye, Byron Chambers, Landon Leibel, Jesse Bryksa, Jon Neher (in spirit). It was produced by Chris Dimas, mastered by Ryan Morey. “Right Way” is the new single from Nick Faye being released on April 25, 2025. It is the third single off of the new album by Nick Faye titled “(Good) Love”, which will be released on September 26, 2025.

“Right Way” is a personal reflection on the masculine influences of Faye’s youth and their impact on his relationships with both his partners and himself. It serves as a personal exercise in self-empathy and forgiveness, acknowledging past behaviors shaped by cultural norms while celebrating the growth that led him to who he is today. The song is a commitment to giving and receiving love in a healthier, more reciprocal way.

“Wait Around” was inspired by navigating dating in early-to-mid thirties, and coming to terms with the fact that even profound love isn’t always enough to sustain a relationship headed in two different directions. As Faye puts it, the song is “a self-dialogue preaching patience and acceptance in the belief that good love is worth waiting for, as long as you’re honest with yourself and others.”

Nostalgic and familiar, Nick Faye and The Deputies play a brand of late-90’s inspired pop-rock drenched in Canadiana.
