welcome to the prequel era - i wrote this song around may earlier this year, a bit after i dropped my debut single. i was going through a lot, processing a lot, and the best way for me to understand it all was through music. this is quite different from RIMH, a 180° shift really, but i wanted to establish where my headspace (and songwriting ability) is at right now as opposed to 2 years ago (like most of my material). i hope you guys... enjoy it!

... and that concludes the (very short-lived) prequel era! this song is a word-by-word recount of a night i had back in london 2 years ago. it was written the day after and initially had a very different structure, but i kept the lyrics and reworked the melody and music only sometime this year because it still didn't feel right (and i really wanted to tell this story). i think because of that, it's really the best song to represent where my future project(s) is/are going, and how things are going to be - where i, as who i am now, will be recalling and reflecting a journey that has been 2 years in the making. i hope you guys.... enjoy it, as always!

happy 1 year to the song that honestly pushed me into taking music seriously. in true tribute fashion, i recorded everything just last night at god knows what time at night, much like i did a year ago (except cram it all into a few hours instead of over a week or two). i had this idea a while back, and honestly idk if i was ever going to really do it, but here we are. and with that, i bid 2020 and you all farewell until some time next year. maybe i'll drop a thing or two before the big project. who knows. only time will tell.
