River man is a cover of a Nick Drake track in 5/4 and lilts hauntingly via the droning piano riff throughout with sweeping saxophone solos and brass under lines.

TRUE COLOURS

Road trip is an original sound composed by Nicki Allan and performed by ORCA, depicting typical life on the road in a van as experienced in early days of gigging. The groove is funky soul with roaring solos from Rod and hammond from Nicki .

This is a beautiful Track written by Rod Mason, depicting the trials of unrequited love. Sensitive and thoughtful but interesting and melodic.

TEARS

This is a track written by Rod Mason for ORCA informing simply to stay out of it when not required. Rhythmic, syncopation and great solos.

Mind your own BUSINESS

A track written by Rod Mason for ORCA. The lyrics depict the knowledge that you can lead a horse to water but a pencil must be lead! Or something like that....

HORSE

A feisty Jazz vocal with lots of bluesy saxophone, accompanied by trio of piano, double bass and drums. Up-tempo and driving sound with references to scat singing, just like the title suggests - Scat Mama.
