To me this sample sounds empty and hollow, and I've always remembered the beat for how echoey it sounds. It's definitely got a bleak vibe, I actually wrote some lyrics to this back when I made it but I ended up putting them over something else. This is definitely the kind of beat that gets me thinking though, I do like making beats like this I think they're great to write to. When the beat's stripped back and almost empty, it kind of makes writing easier cause there's a huge space to fill if that makes sense.
