Sampling Kendrick Lamar, "Mine" opens the album with a sense of hypnotic charm.Comparisons to Frank Ocean are inevitable but He stays true to form with " iGuess" and the hauntingly catchy "Switching Lanes". The singer also makes a nod towards 90s music with the infectious, Kimbra Sampled, "Why Won't You". The EP wraps up with a tribute to Lana del Ray, a true inspiration of his. This is hip-melancholy music at its best, that delivers in every way

Diggin on You

I started writing this song the morning Prince Died. I heard the song the night before for the first time with my team House of M (Taj Wilkes & Ryan Mack). The beat was funky and had a Prince aura to it. The next morning, I went looking for my favorite Prince songs, but couldn't find any of his music on apple music or youtube so I did the next best thing;I created something from that inspiration, I went to my computer and loaded up the 30 sec loop we had at the time and immediately sang "Just be kind to me baby". After i tracked it a few mins later, I heard the news that Prince died. Energy is so real. Don't ruin from it embrace it.  I hope you all enjoy this song as much as I do.

Nick Lamar is an ambitious singer/songwriter based in Los Angeles, CA. In 2008 and 2013 Lamar made the Top 75 of American Idol. in 2014, Lamar released his first EP, “Lucid”. He received his first placement with his hit song “Amy”; Which is featured the Issa Rae produced web-series “Giants” in 2017, His single “Hello Weekend” was also featured on the YouTube web-series 7th and Love in 2017.  Lamar’s songs "Guitar" and "Stripped were also featured on Giants S2 2018. 2019 Lamar’s unreleased single “Temptation” was featured in OWN’s new series “Ambition.”
