Michael Bibi - shaolin dreams [DDR13]

Hot Summer Jams is the latest compilation to land on Hot Creations, due out in September. 
Now in its fourth year, the popular UK label has made its name putting out sun-kissed club music. Following 2012's Paradise Summer Sampler, this 14-track release will showcase a breadth of new and established talent affiliated with the imprint. Label boss Jamie Jones has also contributed, pitching in with cosmic dance floor cut "People From The Moon." The unmixed compilation will be available on CD, digitally and on two 12-inch samplers.

Sidney Charles & Santé have teamed up again to forge the 'Forever EP’ on Hot Creations with Russ Yallop on remix duty. Those that have witnessed their epic sets playing together will know the vibrant energy they create and this latest offering stands stead to them.

The title track ‘Forever’ uses dynamic claps, an indelible beat and a simple but effective vocal that ties all the elements together. With a playful production technique at its heart, this is a cut made for summertime. Things get a little darker with ‘Mogli’, morphing high-pitched, glitchy sounds alongside a hissing beat. On the flip side, Russ Yallop remixes ‘Forever’ to make the whole track bounce with a heavy and thick bassline.

Hamburg-born Sidney Charles has only been releasing music for four years but has already had a string of successes on labels such as 8bit, Moda Black, AVOTRE and VIVa. Berlin-based Santé is also involved with all areas of music as he DJ’s, produces, and is building on his own record label AVOTRE. Sidney Charles & Santé have previously released on Hot Creations with ‘All Night Long’ on the ‘Hot Summer Jams’ album.

Russ Yallop is a key member of the underground house scene and  is no stranger to Hot Creations; he has previously released ‘Traffic’ and ‘System Crank’ with them, whist also regularly DJing at their worldwide events. He is also an established member of the Crosstown Rebels family after first releasing with them in 2010.

Max Chapman burst onto the scene less than three years ago with a string of quality releases on highly respected imprints such as Elrow, Snatch, Viva and Lost. He locks horns with up and coming maestro George Smeddles here for a 2 tracker that ticks all the boxes for a solid underground cut. The lead track, 'Zulu', is a peak-time tech houser with ridiculous grooves, plenty of energy and THAT tribal vocal hook on the drop that everyone will be singing back to you upon it's release. The B-side 'Charger' slows things down a little and adds some sexy, bumpy grooves to proceedings making this a perfect, and flawlessly produced EP.
