I'm Jennifer-O.... and I have a passion for music.

My first self-penned upload!  Hooray!  This was originally called 'Song For Daddy' but I thought it sucked a little as a title.  I love collection old folk  music books and I have many Welsh language folk books, so the title comes from my love for classic traditional folk music.  "Cân i Tad" should hopefully be the translation of 'Song For Daddy'.  Just correct me if I'm wrong xx

The inspiration for the song was this - when I was about 4 yrs old, I had a very strange dream that my father came to my room and picked me up and spoke very clearly to me.  He said I wouldn't see him again for a really long time and not to be sad.  He said "promise you won't be sad..." he reminded me about some good times we had together and fun things we did. When I sing the words "I'm so sorry today", its because I was sorry for being sad, and not keeping my promise.

I was trying to describe the way I felt about his death. My loving Father.
He passed when I was very small.

I'd consider myself a very positive person. Maybe my melancholy is more about depth and thoughtfulness... don't fight it right?
