In this episode, I share my transformative experience of undergoing a second dieta with Noya Rao in Peru. Many people are familiar with the profound effects of their first experience with plant medicine, but I found that the second dieta took me to an entirely new level of understanding and integration.

I begin by explaining what Noya Rao is—a rare tree whose sap is used as a powerful medicine, often referred to as the "Tree of Light." This medicine is deeply revered and is said to be the great-grandmother of Ayahuasca. My first experience with Noya Rao was intense, as it dismantled my ego and identity, leading to significant personal breakthroughs.
This year, I approached the second dieta with a sense of reverence and curiosity about how it would build upon my previous experience. The ceremonies were structured around taking the Tree of Light sap alongside Ayahuasca, and I quickly learned that surrendering to the medicine is crucial for navigating its powerful effects.

Throughout the ceremonies, I experienced a range of emotions and physical sensations, from purging to deep energetic shifts. I discovered new ways to interact with the medicine, utilizing my voice and sound to facilitate healing and energy movement within my body. The shamans' ikoros, or songs, played a significant role in enhancing the experience, allowing the medicine to work beyond the confines of language and thought.

As I reflect on the differences between my first and second experiences, I recognize that this time felt more like a partnership with the medicine, allowing for a deeper integration of its teachings. The post-dieta period is now underway, and I am committed to honoring the medicine's integration process, which requires a strict diet and lifestyle changes.
Overall, this second retreat has been a profound journey of growth, healing, and activation of a new frequency in my life.
