Influenced by CS Lewis’ Space Trilogy, humblSRVNT’s first release is an 80’s synthwave interpretation of the first few chapters of the the book of GENESIS. Throughout the album, the listener is taken through the epic narrative of creation, contentment, temptation, sin, repentance, and redemption. The words of the creator “it is good, it is good, very good” are resounding and final in the opening track LET THERE BE. Later, this melody  robbed in I FORBID IT FOR YOUR GOOD as Adam recognizes his error, and exclaims “run and hide, run and hide, run and hide”. This, only after the pivotal thought he has in FREE FALL: “maybe God lies”. There is joy in the album also, as PERELANDRA explores a beautiful world free of sin and evil, in contrast to I AM which reorients beauty and glory to its rightful center in the creator’s ability to use even the most destructive elements in the world for a grander plan. 

humblSRVNT is a musician out of Madera CA. He works full time and has a wife and a son. He plans to release a second part to the Genesis album in the future, but has no timeframe for future releases.
