Have you seen the "Green Comet" which is currently passing our sun and our planet. My wife and I were lucky enough to see it late one night with binoculars last week. It has been 50,000 years since it last passed. And those who saw it then were the people we call Nehandertals.

An incredible amount has happened on our planet and with humanity, since then. But how do you describe this immense time perspective, and humanity's possible "development"?

There was only one person I could turn to, and that is our superb and eminent soundcloud poet, Peter. With incredible accuracy, he describes the "development" of humanity in this long period, with a poem and a reading that is excellent. Just as he did in the trilogies we presented here, which he helped to create in recent months. ;))

I thank you with all my heart Peter, for your cheerful soul, helpfulness and friendship. ;)

This chapter marks the halfway point in the TAFFETA project. Although it has sometimes been difficult to complete each installment within a week, I do feel there is something to be said for the musical production "wood shedding" that's been going on for the last 2.5 years as I continue on this strange journey, both for myself and our protagonist.

I also want to thank all the great SC friends who have listened to the music and provided amazing support from the beginning. The inspiration I derive from such wonderful feedback is what keeps me focused.

A real pleasure to present to you perhaps the strangest song I have ever collaborated on. Gary simply sent me a line of prose to be used as an acrostic, where each word is the beginning of a line of lyrics. Nothing else. Blank canvas. The original words are "Show Those Ones You Love That They Are Adored Fully, Encompassed Within My Daily Thoughts Are Peaceful Intentions Towards Them All"

He asked me to make up some lyrics and a melody, any key, then to sing the tune to a click track and he would do the rest. To top it off the title of the song is acronymous - ACRONYM standing for the full title, which is "A collaborative record of nostalgia, yearning (&) memories"

I did my usual trick of slapping something down, nipping to Bruges to check that the Trappist Monks were still making beer to my rigorous personal standards and leaving all the heavy lifting to him. Through an elaborate ritual of digital ceremonial magic, electronic alchemy, Job-like patience and wiffle dust he has produced this. Fascinating how he uses tonal and atonal harmony to create tension, power and release, matching it so well to the emotion of the words.

The lyrics are a paean to family and friends, his, mine, yours, ours.
