No Indictment
I guess I never understood that being white meant
Of course you're right when you have a badge and a gun
And a black man's trying to sell loosies on the street
To help support his wife and young
And his skin color or class causes heightened levels of adrenaline
Then comes excitement
Add to this that he's choosing not to remain silent
And there, now you have your reason to get violent

With your buddies at your side, you can take this giant
And pass it off as "he was being non-compliant"
Now he's pleading "I CAN'T BREATHE" as your chokehold tightens
A minute later his body finally gives up fighting
And it's all fucking tape, man! There's nothing hiding
The medical examiner called it homicide
But apparently evidence and experts are overrided
When a poor or non-white person's the one who's dying

The Kelly Thomas beating was fucking horrifying
It made Rodney King look like sport fighting
Coincidentally though, Mr. Thomas was white
And the officers, while cleared of everything, at least were indicted

And this superiority complex of white men
Ain't confined to LA, Ferguson, and Staten Island
What about Andy Lopez? What about Tamir Rice,
A fucking twelve year old victim of police profiling?
The excuse is that he made your little bitch ass frightened
You'd never pull that shit with a rich ass white kid
I bet you played with toy guns all the time like I did
I was never shot at once, never even cited

It's pathetic that it took this for my eyes to widen
But now with confidence I can say I'm enlightened
To the simple fact that I have a much easier life than
Someone just like me, but without the white skin

"You love to play the race card, you love inciting."
Look, your own personal victimhood is not a requirement
Racism is real, even if you attempt to deny it
And fucking don't imply that I'm endorsing thoughtless rioting
"The cop didn't mean to kill him."
Oh, well it's fine then. Go tell that to a victim of errant drunk driving
"You don't know all the facts, they could be lying."
Yeah? We'll never know because they never even try them.
