In my younger years, I loved going for day trips in the bush and also camping in the bush on the east coast of Australia. That helped me to connect with nature and was a very calming influence. This song celebrates that experience.


Bush Serenity

This track is a tribute to the unforgettable Italian composer Nino Rota. The thematic opening from the soundtrack of the movie "The Godfather" is recognizable, but in a syncopated and obsessive form that suggests a tormented nightmare of "mafia power" where everything is out of balance, creating a tension that doesn't feel the need to resolve until towards the end of the track.

The first time I met UPFUSION was during my latest trip to the mountains of the Himalayas, when after my llama had been eaten by a yeti I stumbled through a snowstorm in desperate need of rescue and savety, which I finally found when entering a crystal cave where luckily at that very moment a guy played strange scales and melodies on his electric guitar to an enthusiastic crowd of penguins.

Yeah. And that`s how it began…
