Got in the Game: Three years ago

Playlist: “Depends on the venue and location. I play a lot of Top 40, mainstream stuff, but I am known for my Hip hop to House & then Trance sets. He is the only dj in Goa playing euro trance ”

Why he does it: “Music is one thing he cant stay without. He use to love music since when he was 10 years old. He use to love dancing at that time. He even did lot of stage performance for inter college competition & even performed at the state level & won lots of prizes too & at the age of 16 he started going to the clubs & some of the house partys with friends. we can say that it was the biggest turning point of his life, from that time he started listening to electronic music & he found it so interesting that at the age of 18 he thought of djing & he went in to it. I can say proudly that he has never learned deejaying or asked for help from any of source, cause he says that music is within his soul”.

How he got it: “Since I was a little kid all my friends called me NICK which even I like which is originated from Greek basically & the word itself means victory. The word TESS is actually not related to me any way but I love this word, it sounds very unique & catchy. Hence, the name Nick tess.”

Influences: “I would have to say DJ Abdul first. I used to play his mix CDs over and over, trying to make the same sounds mashups that he did. Then a couple of years later, I met him and we actually became good friends. Cliff franco is another guy that I would not be where I am without. Teaching me how to work a crowd, track selection, mashups, getting me bookings, you name it, he did it for me.”

Favorite technique: One of the best dj for his mashups & not to forget that he is the only dj in Goa who plays & loves euro trance personally which is the top music in the world today.

Favorite artist: Armin van buuren, Tiesto, Paul van Dyke, Ferry Corsten, Gareth emery, Above and Beyond, Richard Durand, Dash Berlin, Indra, Avicii, Kaskade, Eric Prydz.

Personal playlist:” Everything. I listen to anything from Sublime to Deekline and Sultan & ned Shepard Bootleg mixes, armin van buuren – rain & not giving up on love, sunlovers – fire ( walker & daniels remix), sanctuary feat. Lucy saunders, Richard Durand – night & day (full vocal mix).
