god, is kirby absolutely incredible at getting the point of his work across. this track is just so accurate to that feeling of trying to remember a very old melody, but only being able to recall a few notes.

Seriously though - fuck depression. Because of this, my consciousness melts, I begin to degrade and lose contact with people... I started to forget names, faces, events in my life. If this continues, my consciousness will shatter and only a shell in the form of a body will remain.

this is actually horrifying. it's like seeing somebody you love progressively melt further and further into subhuman entropy. This leitmotif (or what's left of it) is the patient

“Spring” is a piece that is particularly close to my heart. I wrote it while watching the world slowly come back to life - trees budding, flowers blooming and the sunlight finally breaking through the cold. It's inspired by those quiet moments in nature when everything feels fresh, new and full of promise.
