i began this mix with a beatless new release who’s beauty stopped me in my tracks before i knew what i was listening to, and shocked to read the credits thereafter : produced by legendary experimental composer alva noto with saxophone by eccentric ambient wizard william basinski who famously dedicated his ‘disintegration loops’ to 9/11 in nyc, with guest vocals by martin gore of depeche mode - all covering ‘subterraneans’ written by the late david bowie during his estranged exile in berlin.

if there was ever a recording which summed everything into one for me and captured the essence of where my mind lives at just the right moment in time, this might be it. hope you’ll enjoy.
