 DJ Sodeyama is a DJ/Producer who has been a mainstay on the Tokyo Electronic scene since the early 90's. He is founder of ARPA Records, and he joined NINA KRAVIZ label “трип” family with the release of "MILES pt.02". After that he released EP and remixes from Dynamic Reflection / Children Of Tomorrow / Quartz / and more. He has been touring to Germany, Italy, Belgium, France, Netherlands, Russia, Switzerland, UK, China, Korea and more. With his down-beat/electronica/ambient project LO:BLOC released album “FROM NORTHERN CLIMS” in 2009, and launched a house/minmal project called PEOPLE IN FOG which released first album “A RAY OF LIGHT” in 2013 and “DEEP” EP from Amsterdam based label SOUND OF VAST”, as part of the release he was invited as guest act for ADE in Amsterdam.

The 51st episode of vurt podcast features a 70-minute live-recording DJ set from DJ Sodeyama, a key DJ/producer in the Tokyo electronic scene from the 90s to the present. The set was recorded last October at Club Womb in Tokyo.

https://soundcloud.com/mattxavier has been a friend of mine for many years now. A fellow music obsessive and trusted voice when it comes to all things ambient, techno, and beyond, we finally managed to meet in person while I lived in Los Angeles, and we stayed connected over music ever since. 

We’ve swapped stories about pressing vinyl and running labels, and he was the reason I first crossed paths with Joel Mull (Damm) at one of his gatherings held at a beautiful Topanga home. It was a serendipitous moment that still echoes today. 

A proponent for the deeper layers found in music, Matt has since become a practician, ambassador, and pioneer for psychedelic soundtracking. Along the way, he shared tracks from ASIP and other labels that were influencing and guiding his private sessions, shaping the grand masterpiece we present to you today. As his practice deepened, we exchanged many texts discussing his ambition to publish a book about his unique experience and include an accompanying mix on ASIP.
