I wonder what you can know about a city from afar. You've got pictures, Google Maps, the stories your friends come back with, the food you might get a chance to taste. There's the music the city makes for itself, or at least what of it outsider ears are permitted to hear. An image begins to form. The thing is, a city is concrete and cars and people, but it's also what arrives when it's called to mind: an imaginary place renovated by day-to-day experience or built slowly from the bits of itself it shares with the world. 

The music Mexico City has allowed New York to hear has fascinated us. In it we see enormous mid-day rooftop parties, clubs pouring out into the street, a metropolis pulsating beneath a sun that seems to always be setting. We sense momentum - that our friends to the South have something of their own, and they’re doing it well.

Nico Borgio joins Bliss Point from Mexico City by way of Oaxaca. With him he brought a bag of records he’s been pulling from party to party in the heat of back home.  It was a joy to welcome him for a two hour mix on his first trip to our city, while his imagined New York is first meeting us here.

Emerging from Mexico City and now based in Amsterdam, Nico Borgio is a Dj and producer who expresses his roots through captivating waves of pure dance music. Nico began collecting records and cultivating his craft at a very young age, leading him to instantly fall in love with the culture and swiftly develop his unique sound. 
Growing up in Oaxaca, he was influenced by a community full of culture, his attention was captured by the many disciplines surrounding him, but it has always been music and sound that captivated him the most. 
In 2016, he moved to Mexico City, where he found a home in the local underground scene becoming an essential figure in the label and party series known as Discos Movimiento.
Alongside his residencies at Yuyu and Funk Club, he gained renown for his infamous all-night-long sets at MN Roy. Nico can also be found captivating audiences at a variety of intriguing underground clubs, parties, and festivals, one of his primary objectives has always been to communicate his perspective on house and techno while remaining true to their roots. This dedication is evident in his sets and productions, which emanate his love, passion, and deep connection to music, evoking emotions, reflecting his personality, and showcasing an original essence that arises from his Mexican heritage. 
 Nico's purpose is to narrate a story that transcends into a new, transformative experience.
