Nico Parisi and Franco La Cara join forces once again with the superb Guardian Angel which comprises seven tracks covering progressive house and melodic techno. Both Nico and Franco have been stalwarts for Bonzai Progressive over the years, delivering quality cuts on solo and collaboration projects. It's safe to say we always get excited when they get into the studio together and we've no doubt the partnership will continue for many years.

Guardian Angel is a sublime, mini-album concept featuring seven perfectly balanced tracks. The release opens with the aptly titled, One, which eases us into a smooth melodic techno groove bedecked with dark, moody tones and contrasting euphoric sequences. Solar is up next, taking us straight into a powerful proggy groove right from the get go. Chunky beats, sharp hats and striking plucky basses drive this one, alongside beautifully crafted melodic patterns. Farfalla is next and sticks with the progressive vibes, offering up a smoother, more defined and rich sound that captivates from start to finish. Buoyant beats and pulsing basses combine to deliver a fluid groove which is topped off with colourfully modulated synths. At the midway point, we find the tougher edged melodic techno grooves of Waves. A super tight construction filled with exotic percussions and punchy kicks which lay the foundation for a driving bassline and mesmerizing arpeggio melody. Gritty synths add strength and texture, making this one a definite floor mover. Staying on the melodic techno tip, Pressure heralds in another rock-solid groove destined to work the floors. A more atmospheric number, thanks to bright synth plucks and converging melodies, the track is powered by a thick, infectious bassline and timely beats that keep things moving nicely. Dynamic is next, continuing that driving theme with a powerful bassline which is prominent from the off. Punchy beats and manicured percussions set the rhythm loose as mesmerizing arpeggios cascade through the sound. Expertly crafted FX enhance the sound while distinctive melodic techno synths take over. Health concludes the release, taking us back to progressive mode for the finale. Carving out a surreal, chunky groove, the track is adorned with wonderment and intrigue. A deep, rumbling bassline dominated as percolating synth lines blend effortlessly with exotic percussions and punchy beats. On the break, the groove evokes an emotional response with poignant melodics and brighter tones. The perfect ending to a fine slice of work by Nico and Franco.

Welcome to the Thirty-second episode of Déjà Vu Culture Sessions. 

In this episode, Russian DJ/Producer, Skaya, will be taking you on a mesmerizing journey with her melodic house & techno tunes. Her music combines and propels rich notes, rhythms, and harmonies, resulting in an eclectic and transformational sound. A couple of months ago, she joined forces with a Ghana-based producer, AXIKI, to release her debut single through Déjà Vu Culture. She has been a DJ for over a year and hopes to make her own mark in the electronic dance music industry.

Nico Parisi began his career in 1996 at iconic Belgian club Atmoz. already at the age of 14 he was spinning records. from all types of music to dance, anything he could spin to make people dance came into play. Soon he knew his love and passion for electronic music and that it would change his life. In 1997 it really started for Nico, not only did he play in the best club in Belgium but he started producing his own tracks with his first release on Atmoz Records and signed a contract with Antler Subway (EMI) Music . And not only under his own name but also under the project Aqualords together with DJ Regi and scored hits such as Basstrain, Witches, The Beginning, Children off The Demon , No Bulshit , Evolution . Nico had also done several famous remixes for top artists. His most famous was 'Extreme Trax 'Don't Hold Back' 'and Nunca ' House Of Doom' . Nico remix of Nunca was also released on Tiesto's label 'Black Hole Recordings in 1999 . 'Now his career had really taken off and he was playing in many top Belgian clubs . Nico also got noticed abroad and was booked in the early 90s at Club Pacha Ibiza , Bora Bora, and even in South Africa. These were times to remember for Nico . Over the years in 2006 the digitalization of the music market began and also for the clubs it was the end and beginning of the Festivals. In 2006 Nico started his own Label Danza Records . His first release on 12 inch was immediately a hit , Nico Parisi & Erik Hub 'Metro', was in a short time at Nr1 in the chart of the famous Armin Van Buuren. In 2011 Nico was offered a contract with Bonzai Progressive. This was the beginning of a new adventure. Here he could live out his passion for progressive music with his first release together with Airwave ' Romeo and Juliet. Several releases were released with one of the most famous being 'Caress' this release was picked up by Paul Oakenfold and featured on his compilation Dj Box 2014 . The DJ life was back in full swing and he was asked several times at Tomorrowland and Pukkelpop which for Nico was the highlight of his career so far . Nico continued to produce and also together with top producer Gai Barone where together they released their famous track 'Perla'. In 2017 there was a foreign tour in South America, Spain and Italy. In 2021 after a long period of pandemic, a lot of time was spent in the studio and releases followed each other including his new album Guardian Angel which was supported by D-Nox and Paul Van Dyk. In 2023 the track Metro was re-covered by Kevin De Vries and MauP and was released on the label of Afterlife. The track became a world hit and was immediately the most-played track of Tomorrowland 2023 . Armin Van Buuren played the released on the label of Afterlife. Armin Van Buuren played the (Metro-Original) on his 3-hour live stream set @ Freedom Stage Tomorrowland 2023 that you can find and watch on his youtube channel . 'Metro' was NR 1 worldwide for weeks . In 2024 Nico released his new edit of Metro ( Neverland ) Featuring a vocal singer by Billie Bentein of Netsky. A video clip was made for this video which you can find on You Tube . The track immediately became a big hit world wide . Nico was also asked to perform at Tomorrowland winter and Tomorrowland summer 2024 .
