Emerging Italian Producer/DJ Guglielmo Nasini makes his debut on Smash Deep with new hypotonic single ‘Akanke’, out now via Smash Deep.

Built around subtly layered percussion and atmospheric synth textures, ‘Akanke’ leans into Afro-influenced rhythms and organic instrumentation without losing sight of the club. The track unfolds with patience, introducing vocal elements and melodic fragments creating a sense of spaciousness and tension.

‘Akanke’, a name of Yoruba origin meaning “one who is especially cherished”, adds to Nasini’s growing presence in the EDM community following a string of independently released edits and stand-out DJ sets across Europe. Nasini’s debut appearance on Smash Deep, hints toward a broader stylistic ambition 

While rooted in accessible grooves, Nasini’s approach on ‘Akanke’ favours subtlety over spectacle. With minimal yet immersive arrangement  ‘Akanke’ feels a prime track for festival warm-up and after-hours rave spaces. Expect to hear more from this single and Nasini in the coming months.
