Augen zu & genießen

I took over a packed Acid Bogen at midnight after @mira_kater's amazing set. 
It took me a bit to get into my flow, but the moment it went off, I enjoyed it so much, especially seeing all the happy people dancing.

I dropped some new gems alongside many all-time favorites but also tracks I never dared to play before.
I felt again why I love doing that and how important it is to surround yourself with like-minded and inspiring people. I can't wait to come back. 🙃

"Hard to find the right words to describe the feeling I had when playing my set at the Mayan Warrior at this years Burning Man.

In the middle of a whiteout, fourth day of the festival, second time on the Mayan, first time solo on this amazing art car I played track after track without preparation as most of the artists probably do when playing such a major show.

I always want to play in the moment. To be with you guys. To feel your vibes - exactly to the way that it fits to the moment.

Having the car packed with people in the beginning, then emptied of them while driving to its designated spot on the playa and then packed again after stopping didn’t exactly make things easy for me. In spite of that the intensity of this wonderful night was so unexpected and greatly appreciated.

Out comes one of my hardest sets I’ve uploaded in a long time:)

I hope you guys enjoy (ed) it as much as I do.

Christopher Schwarzwalder - Mayan Warrior - Burning Man 2022

Normally, podcasts are easy to do and being motivated, one goes to work in exciting anticipation to let the latest delicacies and accumulated "podcast records" shine.
At 3hrs 33min though, the situation is different. We rummaged deep in the record crate, full of enthusiasm knowing exactly what was being played. Dissatisfied with the result and a musical existential crisis not far away, we reflected and rethought the essence of our music: who are we and what do we want anyway? With detective acumen, we conducted acquisitions for weeks and dove into old and new realms in search of the undefinable. Back to the roots...
Neverending after hours, that's us...
Colourful, exuberant, deep, dark, melancholic, sexy, quirky, lazy and always in search of endlessness, And you never know what's coming...
A vulnerable intimacy that you share with loving tolerance with other stranded people and collectively sink into the moment.
Letting yourself drift together, making time an elastic concept. letting yourself go in the endlessness of the moment, far removed from reality.

3 weeks holiday in the Philippines, after wonderful days in the sea diving or sunbathing on the beach, we came to Nacpan Beach. Here I knew immediately that would be the location for the set. So the evening before recording, I started looking for suitable tracks for the location. The next day the time had come and the set was created at 32° on the beach in blazing sun. Happy start into the week! We celebrate our 50. Traumcast with a very special trip. We join @tvisker on a journey through percussions, warm melodies and driving beats. 

Layers over layers build a cotton like soundscape to let yourself fall only to be interrupted by strong synthesizer rhythms and heart opening drops. The perfect soundtrack to start the festival season!

🥁 Did you have any significant realizations in 2024 that you'd like to share with us?

Nothing keeps you fresher, sexier and happier than raving. But I have this insight every year 🤤.

🥁 What is your favorite procrastination activity?

Watching Start Trek from the 80s/90s. Pro tip: I recently started re-watching the X-Files. I've never fallen asleep so smoothly and quickly 🛸👌🏻.  

🥁 What is the strangest or most unusual talent you possess?

I am an amateur ornithologist. Little flying dinosaurs with complex social behavior - love it. My favorite birds are jackdaws. They are very intelligent, sociable and spend the whole day chatting, playing and cuddling.
