Nico Fors, is a Finnish composer, producer, and vocalist who conjures otherworldly soundscapes from a one-room studio in Porvoo. Since 2019, this self-taught artist has wielded a laptop, plugins, and an unyielding passion to craft sonic rituals that bridge the seen and unseen. Working solo with MIDI workflows, sample libraries, and spectral effects, Fors blends precision with primal energy—sculpting virtual instruments and experimental vocals, from whispered incantations to raw false-chord screams, into a singular, haunting voice.

His sonic palette spans mist-shrouded ambient drones and piano elegies, fractured darkwave beats and witch-house murmurs, driving metal riffs over trance arpeggios, and glitch-sculpted minimal techno grooves. Fors draws from a daring array of influences—Charli XCX’ avant-pop, Lana Del Rey’s melancholy, Knocked Loose’s intensity, Ólafur Arnalds’ minimalism, the witchy electronica of Salem, Grimes, and Darko US, and Heilung’s ritualistic pulse—fusing darkness and light into every composition. At its core, his work is informed by mystical traditions, myth and folklore, and contemporary explorations in metaphysics and cosmology—all woven together with his personal experiences and reflections on mental health.
