3STRANGE, the electronic alias of techno legend Alan Fitzpatrick, teams up with UK producer Reset Robot on ‘Kinky Animals’. First heard on ‘Anjunadeep 14’ earlier this year, courtesy of a club ready James Grant and Jody Wisternoff edit, ‘Kinky Animals’ is the pair’s debut release on Anjuna’s new downtempo imprint, Reflections.

Having worked with the likes of Baltra, Model Man and dj poolboi as 3STRANGE, Alan has become a frequent face on sister label Anjunadeep over the past couple years, with his 2022 single ‘Someone Else’ featuring Kenya Grace and a well received 2021 club album ‘Machine Therapy’; marking his first LP in over a decade.

With previous releases on influential imprints Poker Flat, Drumcode and Cocoon, Reset Robot aka Dave Robertson has built a reputation as one of electronic music’s most prolific producers. Alan and Dave are no strangers to working together. They have a number of collaborations under their belt and also jointly run their label, Whistleblower Records. 

Now venturing into downtempo territory with their latest track, the duo present a dark-edged electronic production, exploring the use of evocative ambient textures and rhythmic synths.

Get ready for a raw and vibrant techno journey with Luis Miranda's latest EP, dropping on the esteemed Kaiserdisco's record label, KD Raw that also features a mind-bending remix by Portuguese techno sensation DJ Dextro (UNCAGE, Suara, Naked Lunch) 

Originally from Madrid (Spain), Luis Miranda is now based in Los Angeles, where he creates high-octane techno that combines fast-flowing percussion rhythms with hypnotic synth lines. This release marks his fourth collaboration with KD Raw and his second solo EP for the label, showcasing his signature sound that has also graced the catalogs of AnalyticTrail, Tronic, Odd, Codex, and JAM, among others. 

The EP kicks off with "Tikis Mikis," where muted synth chords, stabbing vocals, and thrashing high-end percussion blend into a thumping kick drum, setting the tone for what's to come. 

"Tarumba" has punishing claps and looped vocals combined with frantic synths and pitched tom drums that deliver a driving momentum. 

"Morituri" delivers muffled chants, acid synths, and shuffling percussion rhythms, all powered by a thundering kick drum.

DJ Dextro's remix of "Tikis Mikis” closes the EP; it thickens the percussion and beefs up the kick drum to create a hard-hitting version with swelling synths that add to the track’s intensity.

VIDØ - Hypnosis [No Mercy]

Spektre are back on home turf once again, with a sinister two-tracker.

'Carnival Of Souls' sets the scene with the relentless bang of their trademark heavy kick drum. Opening with a dark and eerie atmosphere that appropriately matches the title, the lead synths develop into uplifting euphoria, as the tracks mood transforms in the breakdown.

Second of the two original tracks 'Land Of Strays' has a building tension with fluttering synths. The powerful vocal also lifts the track and provides great contrast with the growling tones of the ominous bassline. Undeniably a peak time cut of dancefloor focused techno, this is a spark to light anyone's fire.

Track three is SAMA's remix of 'Carnival Of Souls' which is a refined version of the original with the addition of his own grinding bass stabs and thinned kick drum to allow more focus on the synth parts. Keeping all of the originals energy, it has all of the same charm but with added depth for those who like things a touch deeper.

Finishing the EP is D-Unity's remix of 'Land Of Strays' and stripping away many of the originals synths it's a percussion lead alternate version. Using the vocal and only short bursts of synths, this darker version has more ferocity to it, and will no doubt be a favourite with those who play a harder style of techno.
