Kiwiburn to me is like a home away from home shared with a big extended family. And so it naturally feels like a safe place for first-timers to try things out and play. After feeling a bit disheartened by a missed opportunity to play these tunes at my own camp due to the terrible weather front hitting the festival, I decided to spread the word about my willingness to play and see what happens... the paddock provided. Lucky me for having such great supportive friends!! Thank you so much to @jaynahaze & @finnjacksonnz (aka @darkfacesnz) from Camp Funkhutt and to @dylanc for making space for me.

This was my dream set time, especially for these tunes. I intentionally selected those, wanting to ease the dancefloor from Jayna's Dark Psy Tech beats into yummy Downtempo grooves. Starting out with a little education piece, ensuring I get the buy-in from the techno crowd 😉... I moved through chugging progressive slowrave and dark disco tunes towards floaty dreamy melodic downtempo, handing over to Chillin D (aka @dylanc) for the farewell of the last dancers.


Big shout out to @pullichomba who happen to feature quite extensively in this set, because I happen to love all their tracks quite bit at the moment . Go check them out!

Dieses Set ist ein Fragment, ein flüchtiger Moment eingefangen in Klängen. Die Technik hat nicht alles festgehalten – das Aufnahmegerät war nur bedingt aufnahmefähig –, doch das Wesentliche blieb: die Stimmung, das Miteinander, der erste Herzschlag einer Idee.
Es war mehr als Musik. Es war ein Grundstein, gelegt mit Lachen, Bass und Blicken, die sagen: „Da kommt noch was.“
