‘96 - the peak of Goa Trance and the likes of Paul Oakenfold and Sasha. The same year two boys named Igor were born in Belgrade, Serbia. 
Locally well known deejays following their own journey through sound, (Igor) Cosmic G and (Igor) Dakman have already shown maturity in both choosing and making records; their first studio work together nested IGORI, a four track EP neatly blending each one’s distinctive sound.

Straight off the bat “I” opens a portal into another dimension, with crispy percussion and intricate baseline progression, gated sounds leading to a swift breakdown before the groove takes hold once again.

“G” shows its darker tone, captivating progressive trance melodies of the turn of the century: distant vocalizations cleverly fiddle with an ever-evolving harmony, as the percussive tones maintain a high energy.

Perhaps musically the biggest achievement of the EP is the third track “O” - melodic storytelling reflecting more analogue times is tightly arranged around a striped down drum groove laced with minimal synth stabs.

“R” reflects the mood of the entire release with a classic progressive sound, swinging back to a more obscure, deep tech direction. IGORI EP is closed with an unstoppable drum programming carried by multitrack of melodies, showing a leveled collaboration of two gifted producers.

Born and raised in Buenos Aires (Argentina), Nicolas Taboada is one of newly bred producers and DJs clearly influenced by Techno, which runs unstoppably through his veins. The Argentinian was always moved by the mutability of electronic sounds. Sounds in constant evolution, like him.

Nicolas began to seriously dig into music production and to expand his creative skills at the age of 18. His enormous potential was unleashed then. Names as relevant to the global scene as Adam Beyer, Sven Väth, Eric Prydz or Richie Hawtin led in one way or another his great fascination.

Time has passed judgment, which has also proven right. Today Taboada has the support of some of them -in their sets, radio shows- as well as Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens, Enrico Sangiuliano, Pan-Pot, Sam Paganini, Mathame, Bart Skils, Victor Ruiz, Marco Faraone, Ilario Alicante, Alan Fitzpatrick, Layton Giordani to name a few.

Despite his fervid youth, Nicolas Taboada released already on a pivotal imprint as Drumcode, including his whirling and successful ‘Circles’ in the ‘A-Sides Vol. 11’ compilation. A debut that will surely have more consequences.

As a DJ he traveled all over Latin America performing -at not only one, but several times- in the continent’s biggest venues and festivals.

Last but not least, he has been nominated and finally awarded as the “Best Producer on the Rise” by DJ MAG LA. Debuted a few years ago playing for the monumental and infamous ‘Resistance’ event (Buenos Aires edition) and also joined the virtual ‘Burning Man’ festival, appearing on Playground stage (assembled by Carl Cox).

A vibrant artist destined to move bustling crowds.
