German duo, Manqo are swiftly establishing their presence across the international circuit. Their first release, Won’t Change, was a collaboration with Keinemusik mainstay Rampa and it went on to accumulate over three-hundred-thousand streams on Spotify. They caught the attention of Crosstown Rebels head Damian Lazarus soon after, with Breaking Hearts acting as the first of two EPs to be released on the label in the near future, including a fab remix from South Africa's Black Coffee. 

Manqo spoke on how the track came together, stating: “Breaking Hearts was produced in our studio at Funkhaus Berlin. It was a warm summer day and when we finished it at sunset, we realised it was truly special. We’re very happy it found a home on Crosstown Rebels.”

The cultured Do Not Sit on the Furniture label is back with a third fantastic EP, this time from label and party boss Behrouz in collaboration with highly rated Spanish artist Squire. 

Currently in the midst of a first proper season residency in Ibiza, Do Not Sit is a party and label that takes you on a musical journey. Magical melodies and deep grooves characterise it and are drawn from 20 plus years experience from Behrouz, who is based in Miami but plays all over the world. 

Wonderland is first here and is a nine minute opus that will send shivers up your spine. It has lush keys and chords draped over soft, rippling drums and is a classy track for those who like real emotion. Honey On My Lips is a more deep, intimate tune that is cosy and personal and will have the floor falling all over each other as it journeys into a starry night sky. 

Painted Walls is the third and final track and another excellent one. It has celestial multi-layered guitar chords ringing out into expansive open spaces as the shuffling drums do subtle, supple dances below. 

This is another spell binding EP from one of house music’s most essential new labels.

UK duo Death on the Balcony's universal rhythms are no stranger to Behrouz's imprint, but this is the first time they've collaborated with German duo Flowers on Monday. Having crossed paths on labels such as Akbal and All Day I Dream, their sounds, styles and even aesthetic share similar inspirations and directions. It was only a matter of time before each kindred spirit entwines.
Four tracks deep, 'Ways & Means' brings out the best of everyone involved. Tailor made for Don't Sit On The Furniture's cosmic soul signature to the very last stitch, each cut ebbs and flows unhurriedly, hypnotically. From the gentle synth breezes and steel drum ripples of opener 'Crystal' to the final vocal echoes and last soldiering kick of 'Illusory', there's a hazy playfulness running throughout. Like everything both acts and the label have ever put out, there's a delicate balance of tones and textures that transcend any dancefloors many of us are still so far from seeing again. A perfect tonic for these turbulent times; let's hope more collaborations like this happen again in the future.
