Dans le monde de l’horlogerie, tout est petit. C’est parfois si petit que cela ne fait presque pas de bruit, si petit que cela fait mal aux yeux.
Le ressort spiral est la pièce maitresse de la montre. Il est fixé au balancier et lui transmet l’énergie afin que la montre tourne. C’est dans cette minuscule pièce qu’est stockée toute l’énergie dont a besoin la montre pour fonctionner. Le ressort spiral est mis sous tension lors du remontage de la montre, puis il se détend progressivement faisant tourner les aiguilles des jours durant.
C’est cette contradiction qui me fascine. Comment une chose si infime peut-elle posséder une telle force?
En créant cette musique je me suis plongée dans l’univers qu’était celui de mon grand-père. Avec l’aide de mon petit cousin apprenti en haute horlogerie, j’ai pu découvrir une partie d’un monde que je ne faisais qu’entrevoir.

Mahboubeh Golzari (Iran) disciple of the greatest Masters of Persian Classical singing including, Mohammad-Reza Shajarian, Hossein Alizadeh, Mohammad-Reza Lotfi, Parissa, Mohsen Keramati and Saeedeh Saeedi.  She has had the honor of singing with the prestigious vocal ensemble “Ham-Avayan” which is led by Hossein Alizadeh.  Her voice is also featured in the Lullaby track for the award-winning film “Turtles Can Fly,” which was directed by Bahman Ghobadi with music by Hossein Alizadeh.  Mahboubeh has a long history of collaboration with Iranian composer Amir Eslami Mirbadi.  She is a featured vocalist on several of his albums including the most recent two albums, “Of String’s Song and Reed’s Cry” and  “Dami ba Peer Balkh” (2017).
Mahboubeh is welcomed as featured vocalist in the Vashaan Ensemble’s 2017 project with music composed by Amir Eslami and Ali Razmi in Vancouver.
