This is a protest song about the horrendous nature of the horse racing fraternity and how it is far beyond time that it was banned. It commemorates the day on which Animal Rising sort to bring The Grand National to a close and start a conversation about our broken relationship with other animals.

(Credits below) Mahatma Gandhi stated, “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” After extensive research, I wrote this song as an exposé of the immense suffering of racehorses in the horse racing industry, an industry that excessively breeds, kills and replaces horses with little regard for life. The horses are pawns in a gamblers' game, forced to run in terror, exerting themselves so hard that their lungs hemorrhage, forced to run when they're knowingly injured or lame, forced to run too young, before their bones have developed enough not to break, forced to endure drugging with illegal and harmful substances, forced into trucks leading them on a long drive to abandonment or slaughter. This was a difficult song to write. I hope you’ll consider its worthiness and find the lyrics informative.
