Nicolo LA Music

Joel Ernesto Herrera, better known as Nicolo LA Music is a musician from Usulutan, El Salvador who is trying to make a name for himself as a hip-hop artist.

 From the ages of five and seven, Herrera faced some hardships. He witnessed violence in his country during a time of a civil war. Guerillas were taking over small cities by killing innocent citizens and taking in young boys to commit violent acts. When he came to America at the age of seven, he enjoyed listening to rap and the idea of freedom of speech.

 Herrera wanted to tell his story and express himself, which is why he gravitated towards hip hop music. He thinks of writing music as poetry and therapeutic. He has been inspired by artists like Rakim, NWA, Snoop Dog, Tupac, and Eminem since he was a kid dreaming of a career in music.
