So much love to everyone who came out to celebrate with the Thirst Trap fam at NYE~ This mix is created from both of the sets I played, the first 15 minutes are the set I played right at NYE for the ball drop~ timed with Troyboi's track Bellz~ 

The 1:15 set after the Troyboi track is the set I played before Axel Thesleff.

The second of two tracks that was written in Costa Rica. Huitaca is the goddess of arts, dance and music, sexual liberation, witchcraft and the moon. She was turned into an owl for rebelling against another god. 

This tune is about the wild spirit and the ancient jungle.

Wildlight feat. Ayla Nereo & The Polish Ambassador - Live Inside A Dream (Our Game Redux)

Twenty-Six timeless and dabbed-out instrumental vignettes exploring Lo-fi Jazz/Soul, minimal Hiphop, and abstract Beatwork all soaked in vintage palettes and woven into a seamless head-nodding flow.

Dab Records was created from the friendship of Doug Appling (better known as downtempo producer Emancipator and the creator of Loci Records) and Asher Fulero (session/touring keyboardist and multi-genre composer/producer).

During some early-2016 idea sessions for new Emancipator music, the pair discovered a working flow in the studio that carried it’s own identity and decided to curate a new project around it.

Over the course of the next four years between other albums and tours, Appling and Fulero spent countless hours in the studio together filling folder after folder with ideas and then patiently sculpting away, refining the vision and lovingly crafting a timeless piece of art that showcases some of the finest work from either.

Layers of vintage keyboards, jazzy samples, minimal beats and abstract synths get soaked in vinyl scratching and dirty atmospheres, all smoked and toked into a blissfully hypnotic masterpiece that is obsessively detail-oriented yet loosely off-the-cuff in captivating stoner perfection.
