I stumbled on this Ember Island cover of the Jack Ü/Bieber collab "Where Are Ü Now" and fell in love instantly. I've been experimenting with some different rhythmic formats and different instrumental styles that incorporated some more organic drumming and basslines with more "synthetic" stuff and when this fell on my lap I thought it made perfect sense to take some of the more uplifting, organic material I had written and put it together with this really vulnerable, personal vocal cut from them. It's intended for moments on a train or a bus where you forget where you are for a sec and you think back to something that happened 5 years ago.
