The fourth vinyl release on Manjumasi comes from veteran producer Padre (@padreuk), aka Pete Lazonby. Baby Steps & Grand Gestures showcases five diverse tracks of deeply evocative music coming together as a tight two-sided concept.

The Baby Steps open with the crystalline innocence of Jacob’s Divine and conclude with the smooth primordial bubblings of Origin of Species.

The Grand Gestures begin with the harnessed dark energy of Feed Your Eye. Sensuous chills and thrills continue with Thousand Fingers, and Last Dance completes the narrative in some romantic sci-fi ballroom.

Veteran Greek producer and DJ VieL returns to Ready Mix Records for release 235, a smooth and atmospheric track titled 'Expressive Eyes', presented with remixes from MiRET, Paul2Paul, BiGz and Ruh (SE).

Title track 'Expressive Eyes' is typical of VieL's melodic, languid production style, fusing Eastern vocal and string touches with sweeping, drone-like pads to summon up a delectably dream-like vibe.

Mexican-born, Barcelona-residing producer MiRET's rework of 'Expressive Eyes' provides an intriguing departure from the original, laying down a bouncy, robotic groove over which juxtapose the track's warm organic essence to great effect.

Ready Mix Records founder and Large Kahuna, BiGz rolls out some delightfully syncopated percussion and transforms 'Expressive Eyes' into a light and graceful groove, full of subtly deft twists and turns.

Artist on the rise Paul2Paul turns in a spellbinding version of 'Expressive Eyes', featuring his trademark melodic arpeggios and live strong flourishes which take the tune into deep dance- floor territory.

Finally, and swiftly becoming a Ready Mix regular, Ruh (SE) provides a hypnotic arrangement, patiently building up a compelling groove, adding extra flutes and strings in a spin-tingling breakdown, then cutting loose and flying off into the stratosphere.

Under his DNYO alias, Brazil's Danny Oliveira returns to Juicebox Music with a 2-track EP featuring "Radiate" & "Closer Distance". The São Paulo based artist first made his debut with us back in mid-2019 with "Flare", which also saw a massive remix from Peter Dundov, along with "Children". DNYO also contributed to our first chapter of 'Tales of Time' with "Little Samurai", a cinematic piece with thunderous broken beats. His versatility in creating genre-bending music through his intricate sound design, harmonic complexities & non-linear approach are just a few reasons he's considered as one of the most forward-thinking producers out there. With this new EP, he's now ventured into a slightly new mood, prepping us for the summer ahead. "Radiate" pays homage to the sound of yester-year's deeper side of house music but dressed in futuristic attire. As the soundtrack progresses with multiple layers being introduced, it almost feels like a glimpse into how musical tastes have progressed over the years. "Closer Distance" stays with the deeper-theme and taps into a more tribal & percussive route with an ethereal synth-laden score.
