This track comes from the Blue Shift album that was co-conceived and composed with Roland Roberts. He also performs the piano and strings. This album celebrates the 50th anniversary of man walking on the moon. The album contains many public domain sounds captured by NASA of their astronauts, space and their space crafts.

This album was self published on the day of the 50th moon landing anniversary. We are currently still looking for a record label to release this album.

Nico Willems is a daring and adventurous composer who enjoys exploring the path less trodden. His current work investigates modern classical trends focusing primarily on small ensembles of piano, string quartet, electronics as well as found sound.

Most recently Nico has collaborated with Roland Roberts to create an album that explores a fantastical journey through space. It was released on July the 20th 2019, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing and is called Blue Shift – A Chamber Symphony of Space-Time. Roland performed the piano and strings, and electronics were programmed and produced by Nico. It also contains additional sounds recorded by NASA in outer space - it is quite literally out of this world!

Prior to this collaboration, Nico released his debut solo album that was named after the title track: Many Dreams Of Earth. He had the great privilege of working with some of the worlds top string players to realize this album including Daniel Bhattacharya on violin, Bruce White on viola and Nick Cooper on cello. These tracks are available for commercial use through Bibliotheque Music.

Nico homed his craft as a composer of music for adverts. Having worked as In-house composer to advertising agency M&C Saatchi Nico composed music for clients including BBC, Channel 4, RBS, NatWest, Jeep, Pepsi, Burger King and Rolex just to name a few. Nico won two VOX Awards as well as an Areal Award.

Nico currently works as a freelance composer for media.
