"Camina" is Daniel Imhof’s first release on Monada. Both songs are minimalist in their sound structure and yet radiate a true fullness of emotion. A slow, soulful and warm journey through deep space into an imaginary world, where a certain kind of peace of mind can unfold. After decades of playing for crowds as a club DJ, this Lp reflects his gradual move towards the sonic realm of ambient music. He is thrilled by the contributions of the artists on this project.

Daniel Imhof is a musician and DJ based in a village close to Bern. His studio on the grounds of an organic farm is surrounded by birch trees. When he lets his gaze wander over his modular landscape, sometimes a red kite or a white crane flies into the picture. This might be one of the reasons why his music has this organic feel to it. His monthly ambient show "voyage" on the alternative radio station "Rabe" on Sunday mornings is an invitation to listen deeply, to lie down, to daydream. Occasionally he plays live for sleep concerts or other kinds of horizontal meditations.

Wow, war das ein Kau! Zum ersten Mal vom Zoll auseinandergenommen, zum ersten Mal die Emergency Loop Station angehauen und vor allem: Zum ersten Mal im Tal des Tarabs vorbeigespielt! Ich bin immer noch ganz beseelt und freu mich wie Bolle auf ein Wiedersehen am Helenesee zum Bucht der Träumer! Vielen lieben Dank für die Einladung! Was ihr da aus dem Boden gestampft habt war wirklich unglaublich! Ich war lange nicht so beeindruckt von einem Festival in der Größenordnung. Wowsen...Pflichttermin nächstes Jahr! Die Aufnahme übersteuert leider hier und da, weil ich einfach bisi zu gefährlich drauf bin. Und wer ganz genau hinhört, findet ganz vielleicht sogar zwei versteckte DAENGER Perlen. Enjoy!
