First cover/video with my electric guitar, and also my first time arranging a medley by myself. This medley consists of all 11 songs from Jason Dy's album entitled "All About Me".

Jason Dy is an uber talented singer/songwriter I've been following since 2012. He's currently a part of Team Sarah's top 6 on The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 (to refresh your memory, he's the guy who sang Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" during the blind auditions), so congrats to him for making it this far!

Everyone has their own strategies and ways to promote their bets, and I thought, what better way is there to promote Jason than through how his talent/music greatly impacted (and continues to inspire) me as a singer and artist! Listening to him for almost three years opened up new doors for me, made me feel confident about my own voice, and helped me grow into the artist I currently am. Sounds cheesy, but it's true. And if it weren't for my countless attempts at learning the crazy riffs and runs in his covers throughout the years, my runs would be sloppy today, hahah. I'm proud to say he's one my musical influences!

With all the hearts he has touched with his voice, he's actually already a winner. But syempre, kailangan parin natin siyang i-vote! “A line from Owen's song 'Everyone feels like you' (2002). A song about how not everyone knows their current state in life but in most sorrowful scenarios, there is someone out there feeling just like you. But a line in the song "in time, you'll find needing things only kills you slowly" really captivated/ensnared my current life dilemma. I needed a lot of things like new equipment and gadgets, money, recognition of my works in school/music, girlfriend, etc; ending up being extremely depressed. The slow-paced suicide is done, eaten my very own soul and now i'm dead. Needing things is a self-torture confinement of ones soul.

While in the process, I created 6 songs that represent my mixed feelings of depression, paranoia and acceptance. The title of each song are from different scenarios and fan fiction concepts of different RPG games I love (Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, Final Fantasy X), emotionally tailored, to cater and to honor its legacy.”
