I recorded this live at Peterborough Jazz Club in 2001. Taken from the album "On Your Marks". I mixed and mastered it at my studio in Buckingham. This is a beautiful piano tune. Peter sadly passed away a year later at the age of 51. I'm rather proud of this recording.

I specialize in pure open recordings of voice and acoustic instruments using valves together with Pro Tools HD2.  

Unlike many of today's recordings, I try to avoid too much audio dynamic compression so that the natural volume changes in the music can be enjoyed by the listener as they would be during a live performance.  Please bear this in mind.

I built up a professional studio during the nineties and noughties and was lucky enough to record many fine blues rock and jazz players. Since moving to the west country I now enjoy the challenge of producing natural transparent recordings that put as little as possible between the artist and the listener whilst still ensuring a high quality listening experience.  I really enjoy using analogue technology when I can and I am just now getting my old Soundcraft 2" up and running again after ten years in the cupboard. I also have a beautiful DDA AMR 24 mixing console safely stored, ready to see the light of day at the right time.
