This is the first of a series I am currently writing.

"Now why don’t you, if you are at all serious in this matter, why don’t you ask yourself that question? Why haven’t I, a human being who have been to all this… why haven’t I changed? What would be your answer?…

Either you are not serious. You want to live a very very superficial life, and that superficiality temporarily satisfies you. Or you really don’t care. As long as you’re immediate pleasures, immediate satisfactions… you really don’t care.

You don’t care for your children if they are murdered, or you really have no deep love or affection for them. If you had, you would prevent all wars. So, apparently, none of these things mean anything to you.

Or probably you are so deeply conditioned psychologically… of course we are biologically conditioned as a full matter altogether, but psychologically conditioned. And one is not aware of it. And unless there is a fear from this condition, you will go on this way.”

Why Don't You Change?

"To be free of all authority, of your own and that of another, is to die to everything of yesterday, so that your mind is always fresh, always young, innocent, full of vigour and passion. It is only in that state that one learns and observes. And for this a great deal of awareness is required, actual awareness of what is going on inside yourself, without correcting it or telling it what it should or should not be, because the moment you correct it you have established another authority, a censor.

So now we are going to investigate ourselves together - not one person explaining while you read, agreeing or disagreeing with him as you follow the words on the page, but taking a journey together, a journey of discovery into the most secret corners of our minds. And to take such a journey we must travel light; we cannot be burdened with opinions, prejudices and conclusions - all that old furniture we have collected for the last two thousand years and more. Forget all you know about yourself; forget all you have ever thought about yourself; we are going to start as if we knew nothing.

It rained last night heavily, and now the skies are beginning to clear; it is a new fresh day. Let us meet that fresh day as if it were the only day. Let us start on our journey together with all the remembrance of yesterday left behind - and begin to understand ourselves for the first time."

Freedom From The Known

Love And Loneliness

You may ask, “What is it that you want to do? If you don’t want us to join any society or accept certain theories, what is it then that you want to do?”
What I want to do is to help you, the individual, to cross the stream of
suffering, confusion and conflict, through deep and complete fulfillment. This fulfillment does not come through egotistic self-expression, nor through compulsion and imitation. Not through some fantastic sentiment and conclusions, but through clear thinking, through intelligent action, we shall cross this stream
of pain and sorrow. There is a reality which can be understood only through deep and true fulfillment.
Before we can understand the richness and the beauty of fulfillment, mind must free itself from the background of tradition, habit, and prejudice. For example, if you belong to a particular political party, you naturally regard all your political considerations from the narrow, limited point of view of that party.
If you have been brought up, nursed, conditioned in a certain religion, you look at life through its veil of prejudice and darkness. That background of tradition prevents the complete understanding of life, and so causes confusion and suffering.

The secret to creating a spectrum of diverse sounds has to be the mix of positive and negative noise into a sparingly underrated medium using tools not necessarily for a flawless outcome but a mere pitch ringing in your ear.

Nigel is a composer, sound and video artist who works with various mediums bearing the weight of unorthodox structure with the blend of electroacoustic aberrant sounds. The focus is to explore the basis of music through different styles and history bearing in mind the importance of the process within layers of orchestration. Influenced by experimentalist of film and music from both the eastern and western culture, the pieces churned out are intertwined randomly to reflect change which in turn motivates a purpose. He also engages in various forms of mixed media, primarily in the film and visual aspect marrying sight with sound through the blend of the abstract and narrative.
