Like many songs this one began with a real incident but the rest is fantasy, let's call it "artistic license". I've nothing against buskers but I would like sometimes to choose whether I want to listen to music or not. The real incident? Well I did have to put on two pairs of socks once last winter.

I wrote this song recently to highlight the struggle so many folk have just getting by.  Apparently in the UK most of us are just 2 pay packets away from the possibility of living on the streets.
