I sat on this for years before I used it for my remix of Myon & Shane 54's Outshine. Bigpads was the working title, and this was 9 (out of 18) revisions before I started working it into the MS54 remix. I really liked this and part of me wishes I kept it as an original, but something about it just wasn't working for me, which I why I left it for so long. I think Natalie Peris' voice was just what it needed.

Lullaby Manu

This track is the big brother of a track that will be appearing on my second album. They’re quite different but retain some of the synthesized guitar pluck sound. The vocal chops are from myself and Josiah Ruff. They’re the same chops from It’s Alright. This track was so close to being on the album, but it didn’t fit to me, so I took it off the roster. 

Future

I began writing this as a follow up to “Always Running”, which was released in 2013 and remains one of the tracks I’m most proud of. It incorporates a lot of elements from the original. This was, for a brief time, a failed vocal track that I can’t share. The nuts and bolts of this eventually went on to form the basis 
of my Save Tonight remix. Listen close, and you can hear the similarities.

Still Running

The core of this was copied from the “Still Running” project but took on a life of its own when I resampled some funky licks from another project. Josiah Ruff did the vocals. Jared Rieger and Elliot Hardman did the guitar, which got chopped. Again, this is the same core project as Still Running and subsequently my Save Tonight remix.

It's Alright

Unbalanced

This track actually has no related tracks. The closest relation is to “Falling A Little” feat. Richard Caddock, where I reused those brass hits. They were created in a different project using Kontakt instruments. The “Who You Are” vocal chops are some of my earliest vocal chops using the pitch correct/formant bump method.

Who You Are

This was the first edit of my track Discover, which eventually took on a whole different feel. You can hear the similarities, though, especially in that harp sound, which is a plucked piano string. There’s a good minute at the beginning to just appreciate the beauty that is a chord pluck progression from Sylenth.
