Solid Grooves unveil their 2022 'Ibiza Sampler' as Michael Bibi and PAWSA invite seven of the label's residents and regulars for a huge summer offering.

2022 is shaping up to be a year to remember for Solid Grooves as they celebrate ten years in style with a host of stand-out shows, including OFF Sonar and Kappa Futur, alongside recent appearances at Space Miami, Fabric and Printworks.

However, the crown jewel in the programming undeniably comes via their biggest Ibiza season to date. With a move to renowned institution DC10 backed by lineups stacked full of talent, the collective only adds to things on the label front as they reveal their latest summer compilation. Opening the season in style, the nine-track 'Ibiza Sampler' welcomes the arrival of a stacked V/A with fresh heat from close friends and ever-impressing regulars.

In usual fashion, co-founders Michael Bibi and PAWSA contribute a pair of heavily-requested signature cuts, alongside peak-time and after-hours anthems from residents Dennis Cruz, Eddy M, Reelow, Ramin Rezaie and Bassel Darwish, plus label signees Classmatic and JUST2.

One of the UK's favourite house talents, Josh Butler's relationship with Solid Grooves stretches back years. Following two huge releases on the label in 'Right Time' and 'Keep It Hot', summer welcomes his first outing via sister imprint Solid Grooves Raw as he takes things darker for the low-slung sonics of 'Ratchet'.

A rumbling and moody cut fusing menacing basslines beneath signature snappy drums, flickering scratch effects and hooky vocal interjections, 'Ratchet' sees Butler on the offensive as he delivers a powerful production with a visceral groove at its core.

Our good buddy Adapter is back on Deeperfect with another slamming tech house EP for 2018. Since dropping his banging Better Than Yours EP with us last year he went on to deliver bombs on Snatch, Lapsus, Hot Creations and more. Bringing only highest level of production and hard hitting tunes Adapter’s latest offering is nothing if not action packed!
The title track, ‘This Pump’, is a modern tech house jam with all the trimmings! A chunky beat of analog juiciness rides atop a heavy, pulsing bassline that rolls thunderously from the speakers. A frantic synth hook powers out urgency to the dancefloor while heavily affected vocal chops and percussion fills rain down energy! This is a guaranteed party starter and sure to be a weapon for all of the big names in the game.
On ‘Atrax’ Adapter takes an underground approach, delivering another peaktime banger, this time with a harder edge. There are hints of tribalism throughout the heavy beat which helps to create a slight deepness which contrasts the distorted synth riff which rips across the track with delays and modulation. A cool and catchy vocal hook brings further intensity to the groove and solidifies Atrax as a club rocker that ticks all the boxes.
‘Broller’, the third and final tune, continues the stomping, peak time vibe of the EP and delivers another heavy tech house workout. A powerful and unrelenting synth riff is the star of the show here and Adapter shows his production prowess as he manipulates it in every which way to create a frenzy in the club. This is a heads down floor filler which is sure to burn it’s way through main rooms across the globe.
