Hi! This is my first track in this genre. I created it in Ableton Live 12 Lite. I tried to make the most out of the 8 available tracks to achieve a sound that I really like, and it was a very interesting experience. I’m increasingly drawn to this style and hope to release more music in a vinyl-inspired aesthetic in the future.

To those who came to me after my first two tracks, I apologize and hope you understand this change in style. I didn’t feel truly happy while making those tracks. In this music, I’m more involved as a musician, and it brings me joy, despite the melancholic sound.

I’d really appreciate your support. I’m also raising funds for the full version of Ableton, as I know it would allow me to unlock more potential. But for now, this is what we have. Thank you for your attention!

Radikon's new compilation "Reto" is here. Radikon is the term for 'roots' in Esperanto, an international language that sought to bring people together. We share this vision, using art and music in lieu of language. Radikon is a group of like-minded artists that came together to release records that are more than music, each with its own individual soul and lifeblood. Producer and painter work closely together at Radikon to craft genuine, heartfelt art. The Berlin based imprint was founded in the autumn of 2018 by Jonas Saalbach and David Guzy who embarked on a journey with their close friends Budakid, Dahu, Foreign Guest, Tony Casanova and Yubik. Stripped Down hits a super sixth release with the hugely prolific Basti Grub at the helm.
Over more than a decade this German producer has turned out an always evolving and vast amount of EPs and LPs. Using a range of different instruments and modular synths he cooks up inventive minimal tracks that are dance floor focused but packed with new ideas.
First up here is solo track 'Would Be An Angel' which has a zoned out quality thanks to the harmonic bell sounds and stripped back rhythms. Enchanting vocals are hypnotic and the various breakdowns build the tension, only for things to roll on again and surely get huge reactions in the clubs. 'Amelie' is the second fantastic offering and finds Grub link with DJ Slowhand, who has been resident at Tanzhaus West FFM since 2011. Together they cook up a sparse techno track that takes you on a journey to the heavens, with lush chords, choral vocals and synth orchestration all exuding clean, crisp and classy feelings of subtle euphoria.
