Tokyo Needs You

A track from an earlier EP called "Stuntman and Psychic". You'll hear one of my circuit-bent Speak N Spell toys babbling semi-mystical anecdotes and other nonsense throughout. That particular Speak was lovingly bent by my old neighbor Donald Bell aka Chachi Jones. This song also heavily relies on the Realistic Concertmate MG-1, cheap red wine &amp; lots of Ableton kung fu. Wing Window

Night Night is an off-and-on again project I've had since 2004. My inspirations for this stuff include the music &amp; work of Brian Eno, Kraftwerk, Erik Satie, John Carpenter, To Rococo Rot, Memory Tapes, Andrei Tarkovsky and Haruki Murakami. Humblebrag: I've been lucky enough to tour Europe &amp; the States and travel around the globe looking for good ramen (Japan wins, of course).

Recent stuff:
&gt; released the first Night Night E.P., "Stuntman &amp; Psychic", through Observatory, the netlabel branch of Skylab, a European experimental/electronic label.
&gt; recorded, mixed and/or produced a variety of artists including Joanna Newsom (Drag City), The High Speed Scene (Star Trak/Interscope), Golden Shoulders, The Poplollys, Aaron Ross, Lee Bob Watson, Kings &amp; Queens, The Jolenes, Goodmornings, Them Hills, Mike Farrell, Red Weather &amp; many others.
&gt; wrote &amp; recorded songs for the Sony Pictures Animation film "Open Season".
&gt; placed some music in various cheesy American TV shows like Ghost Whisperer, One Tree Hill &amp; Gossip Girl.
&gt; produced experimental music &amp; video for Project Soundwave (a live sound-art collaborative based in SF)
