I've been asking Demi to do a Night Waves mix for over a year and he felt he could only do it when the time felt right. We were both keen on a mix rather than a dj set for the series and this was going to take some time.  Clearing out his garage and rediscovering a vast selection of somewhat forgotten vinyl he managed to put together a soundtrack mix that has been plucked directly  from the clouds by a heavenly hand and pushed back down through his tortured soul. You can hear the pain of unrequited love seeping out of his heart and because of that, I believe that this mix will be enjoyed for many years to come.

Jymmi James - A Sunrise Of Love

"A mix for Pamela is an imagined love letter to a girl out of reach, it’s a tape made out of longing, lying in bed listening to all your favourite tracks, thinking about the girl in the pink dress.  Pamela is the most popular girl in school, she’s the hottest girl in the office, she doesn’t know you’re there, she doesn’t care.  She’s pretty in pink, she’s everything and more that’s great about being young and in love.  In this scenario, Pamela moved to Ibiza in the 70s to chase a dream.  A calling from Tanit brought her to Pikes, the infamous party hangout in the hills of San Antonio where she was rumoured to be the lover, friend, long lost family member or muse of Tony “the booze soaked pussy hound” who owned the place back then.  This is a copy of the tape he allegedly made for her that was found under his bed when the room was cleaned for the final time after his death.”

Night Waves # 22  Kenny's Classics

A live set from Visions of Love - a gathering that took place in the Chiltern Hills just outside of London.

I chose a (loose) theme of 'from disco to rave and back' for this, where I attempted to draw a line from the energy of the late 70's New York disco scene to the UK rave scene of the 90's and then onwards to some more recent interpretations of these styles.

A big point of inspiration for the theme was from thinking about how the Paradise Garage & Studio 54 scenes might have eventually gone on (via Chicago) to eventually evolve and pave the way for some of the music made during the height of the UK free party and Madchester / Hacienda scenes. And there were surely similarities in freedom and fun between these two eras!

Recording this in a field with a booming sound system and a lot of happy people  definitely gave a bit of a free party vibe - and lots of sing along moments and even some tears shed. What a night!

La Torre Ibiza 'Volumen Uno' (album preview)

@Leo-Mas was the protagonist and witness of the club scene phenomenon that was born in Ibiza he played at the Amnesia club (with Alfredo) during '85, '86, '87 and '88 (The Second Summer of Love) and '90 (without Alfredo which played at Pacha). 
Thanks to his unique sound and innovative set he was propelled as one of the pioneers of house music and balearic sound.
